Durable – weatherproof

The weight of the pasture fence post is considerably less than comparable concrete products. The materials have a distinct advantage over wood, since they last for a lifetime.

Easy to work

These posts can be cut to length using conventional circular saws. The posts easily accommodate screws and staples for attaching other materials such as isolators, planks or boards. Holes can also be drilled for routing wire or electrical cables.

These posts are completely versatile, from fencing for pastures and other properties to use as a solitary bollard.

Installation recommendation 

Predrilling is recommended for screwing down isolators, for example. The posts easily accommodate nails and screws just like wood.

 

Installing an electric line by means of mounted isolators

1. Driving in piles

The pile can be hydraulically pressed in or driven in with hammer or pile driver. Use an impact sleeve over the pole head to protect the edges when hammering. If the soil is rocky, we recommend predrilling or using an iron rod to pre-pound a guide hole for the pile.

 

2. Insertion depth

The insertion depth depends heavily upon the soil conditions. Approximately 1/3 of the total length of the pile should be driven into the ground, however, at least 50 cm (frost line). Using hydraulics may cause the pile to bend. If risk of breaking is evident, a guide hole should be predrilled.

3. Bracing

The distance between piles can be 3 to 5 meters depending on the electric strip or other connecting material. Each corner post and every 10th pile should be braced on both sides. For this purpose, the struts are driven in at an angle of 45 degrees to the supporting pile and the pile head is cut off to the corresponding length. The struts are then screwed down with a wood screw.
